Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base acrylic resin adhesive excellent in adhesion to metallic materials and metallized resin films by copolymerizing a glycidyl monomer and an acrylic phosphoric ester monomer.
SOLUTION: This adhesive is obtd. by copolymerizing a glycidyl monomer and an acrylic phosphoric ester monomer and is excellent is adhesion to metal, esp. aluminum. Further incorporation of a 1,1-dialkylsemicarbazide compd. in an amt. of 0.05-3wt.% (based on the solid components in the adhesive) into the adhesive makes it esp. useful for laminating an aluminized film and a halogenated resin film. An example of the glycidyl monomer is glycidyl (meth) acrylate, and that of the acrylic phosphoric ester monomer is 2-acryloloxyethyl acid phosphate. A pref. example of the semicarbazide compd. is a reaction product of N,N-dimethylhydrazine with hexamethylene diisocyanate.
