Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition which is free from sag and metal unevenness, gives a film having excellent smoothness and water resistance and is preferable from the viewpoint of pollution control by incorporating, as an essential base resin component, a water-base dispersion of fine polymer particles obtained from a specific monomer.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprises, as an essential base resin component, a water-base dispersion of fine polymer particles obtained from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl group represented by the formula (wherein R1 to R3 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl), e.g., 2,3-carbonatopropyl methacrylate.
