Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a surface-treating agent good in preservation stability, without adversely affecting the human body and excellent in adhesion between the reinforcement and composite material matrix, the reinforcement using the agent and a composite material by using a carbodiimide compd. as the main component.
CONSTITUTION: An aromatic or aliphatic water-soluble or self-emulsifiying carbodiimide compd. shown by the formula (R2 is a monoisocyanate compd. residue selected from m- or p-tetramethylxylene diisocyanate, 4,4'- dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 2,4- or 2,6-tolylene diisocyanate, and (n) is 2 to 30) by 1-40%, an emulsifier and the dye, pigment, antistatic agent, etc., as required, are added, and the mixture is dispersed by a dispersant as a surfactant in an aq. solvent.
