Abstract:
To provide an improved water-based adhesive containing polymer nano-particles (PNP).
The polymer nano-particles (PNP) are composed of at least one polyethylenic unsaturated monomer and at least one ethylenic unsaturated water-soluble monomer with a polymer unit with an average diameter of 1-50 nm. The adhesive comprises preferably at least one water-based emulsion polymer and the PNP. The adhesive composition has excellent characteristics such as rheological characteristics, drying properties, mechanical stability, green strength, inherent adhesiveness, peel build properties, and gas barrier properties, and useful for pressure-sensitive adhesives, heat seal adhesives, cold seal adhesives and laminating adhesives.
