PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, consisting essentially of a specific acrylic resin and/or a specified polyester resin, a specific polycarbonate resin, a curing agent and specified resin particles and useful as a high appearing film excellent in coating operation efficiency (solvent popping and sag resistances) and smoothness.
CONSTITUTION: This composition contains (A) an acrylic resin and/or a polyester resin having 10-100 acid value, 20-300 hydroxyl value and 1000-50000 number- average molecular weight, (B) a polycarbonate resin having hydroxyl groups at the terminals and 1000-10000 number-average molecular weight, (C) a curing agent (preferably a melamine resin or a blocked polyisocyanate) and (D) urethane or melamine resin particles having 0.01-1.0μm particle diameter. Furthermore, the amounts of the blended respective components are 35-70wt.% component (A), 5-50wt.% component (B) and 10-40wt.% component (C). The amount of the component (D) is preferably 3-70 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total solid content of the components (A) to (C).
