To provide a method for burning for improving its burning efficiency and reducing polluting gas in its exhaust gas on using a water-containing fuel for an automobile, a ship, a burning furnace, a boiler, etc.

This method for burning the water-containing fuel is provided by preparing the fuel by dissolving an ammonia amine such as ammonia, ethanolamine, ethylenediamine, urotropin, triethanolamine, etc., formalin and paraformaldehyde in butanol, adding 5-59% water and an alcohol chelate liquid of an organic metal chelate compound of titanic acid, silicic acid, zirconic acid and stannic acid, and burning it by using petroleum fuel burner with a catalyst or a ceramic burner. Further, the fuel can be prepared by adding a catalyst added with copper, silver, a platinum group metal, nickel or cobalt complex salt as necessary, and also a little amount of the petroleum fuel for burning.
