Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water-developable flexographic printing plate precursor that exhibits an excellent developing behavior and few aggregates in the developing solution after development; and a flexographic printing plate obtained by subjecting the precursor to photoexposure and development. The water-developable flexographic printing plate precursor according to the present invention is a water-developable flexographic printing plate precursor that has a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains specific particles, a rubber component, a photopolymerizable monomer, and a photopolymerization initiator. Each of the prescribed particles is a particle comprising a polymer particle X and a structure Y that has a divalent group represented by formula (1) which is to be bonded by a covalent bond to at least a portion of the surface of the polymer particle X, wherein the gelation ratio for the particle is at least 60%. *-O-(A-O)n>-* (1) In formula (1), A represents a C2-4 alkylene group, n represents an integer from 1-100, and * represents a bonding position. The plurality of A's present when n is an integer greater than or equal to 2 may be the same as each other or may differ from one another.
