PURPOSE: To orderly wind a hose around a winding floor and to perform reliable passage of water and discharge of water by a method wherein along with rotation of a reel, a traverse mechanism is reciprocatively moved between flanges at a pitch responding to the diameter of the hose.

CONSTITUTION: A hose is inserted through a hose guide 14 and the one end thereof is connected to a water discharge source through the shaft of a reel 4. With the reel 4 rotated, a spur gear 11 is engaged with a line 8 of protrusion formed on a flange 5, and a rotary arm 12 is reciprocatively moved through a rotary rod 10 and a rotary lever 15 is reciprocatively moved through a link 13. Along with the reciprocative movement, a hose guide 14 at the tip of the rotary lever 15 is reciprocatively moved between flanges 5 and 6 of the reel 4, and the hose inserted through the hose guide is wound around a winding floor 7 as it is traversed laterally between the flanges 5 and 6. Thus, the hose is uniformly and orderly wound around, and take-out of the hose is facilitated.
