Abstract:

To provide a water heating vessel using a microwave oven and a beverage preparation appliance usable when a ceramic or plastic filter is filled with coffee powder for extracting coffee, or even when a dedicated cartridge preliminarily filled with coffee powder or the like is used under the application of heat with a microwave oven, and furthermore capable of preparing heated water for preparing an instant beverage such as black tea, milk and soup.

This vessel has a heated water outlet on a bottom for heating water with a microwave oven. In this case, at least a part of the hot water outlet is made of shape memory material and closes before heating for stopping a water flow. The outlet automatically opens when heated up to a preset temperature level, thereby causing heated water to flow out.
