Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a water-in-oil composition that has a good usability, e.g., lacks stickiness, and imparts an excellent uniformity, water resistance, and stability over time to a coating film. The water-in-oil composition that has solved the problem comprises the following components (A) to (D): component (A) 5 to 30 mass% of zinc oxide surface-treated with a hydrophobing agent and silica; component (B) a polar oil; component (C) a silicone oil; and component (D) water, wherein component (A), when mixed at 0.25 mass% in a water/ethanol solvent (mass ratio of water : ethanol = 3 : 1), exhibits a transmittance for light at a wavelength of 700 nm of 0.8 to 20. The water-in-oil composition is characterized by having a surfactant content of not more than 1 mass%.
