Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject cosmetic with a silicone oil as the oily phase component, excellent in stability with time, good in fluidity, and also excellent in usability and feeling in use.
CONSTITUTION: This water-in-oil emulsified cosmetic comprises (a) 20-80wt.% of an oily phase component containing ≥20wt.% of a silicone oil, (b) 1-10wt.% of a polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane-based surfactant with a HLB number of 3-7, (c) 0.5-10wt.% of a nonionic surfactant having in the molecule both polyoxyethylene group and polyoxypropylene group with the former group accounting for ≥50% of the whole molecular weight, and (d) 20-70wt.% of an aqueous phase component. Furthermore, incorporation of (e) a polyoxyethylene-hardened castor oil in this cosmetic can further increase the content of the aqueous phase component, resulting in the objective a stable cosmetic excellent in fluidity.
