Abstract:
To provide a water-in-oil emulsion stable over a wide range of pH.
The water-in-oil emulsion contains a vinyl polymer with a pKa of 4 or below which contains a side chain containing an anion group and a side chain containing an alkyl-Y, wherein Y is O or NR, R is H or CH3, and an alkyl group of the alkyl-Y-containing chain has on average at least four C atoms in a configuration of a ring, branched chain or straight chain, optionally containing one or more hetero atoms.
