PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To juxtapose a selective water-intake device and a fishpath device following up the upstream level fluctuation on a high dam.
SOLUTION: A water-intake gate 15 having door bodies connected in a reed screen form is provided on the lower part of a control chamber 12 protruded on the upstream side of a high dam, a circular passage 34 opened to the lower part of the control chamber 12 and arranged on the inside of the water-intake gate 15 is connected to, a stairway type fishpath 10 having an inlet on the high dam lower stream which is constructed within a bank body is connected to the lower part of the circular passage, the hot water taken from the surface layer is carried thereto to the stairway type fishpath by an automatic constant flow rate device 74, and the upper part of a guide frame extended from the stored water surface is also opened to the control chamber. A carrying cage 36 for containing fishes is moved within the circular passage, the control chamber, and the guide frame to support an ascending fish and a descending fish. Thus, since both the device are juxtaposed, the construction cost is saved, a heavy machine is also commonly usable, and the maintenance after construction can be concentrated with good working property. The attracting effect of fishes by the intake flow and jet flow of hot water can be provided, and the movement of fishes is supported by the proper gradient and a carrying cage.
