PURPOSE: To inexpensively provide the water jet device which is applicable even to a treating object of a relatively long working width.
CONSTITUTION: A machine body 12 which travels rectilinearly is provided with a rotating body 15 driven by a first motor 13 and a pair of sprockets 26, 27 existing on the same line via the center of rotation of this rotating body 15, respectively freely rotatably. A supporting shaft 18 is freely rotatably supported in the eccentric position of the rotating body 15. This supporting shaft 18 is successively provided with a nozzle holder 24 having plural nozzle holes 25. This nozzle holder 24 is provided with a pair of pins 29, 30 near its both ends. These pins 29, 30 are respectively connected to the eccentric positions of the sprockets 26, 27 and a synchronizing belt 28 is wound between the sprockets 26 and 27. Then, the specified posture of the nozzle holder is maintained by a pair of the sprockets and the synchronizing belt wound between these sprockets.
