Abstract:
PURPOSE: To close a valve upon removal of a float, by balancing upward force with respect to a rod coupled with a valve and the gravity of the float.
CONSTITUTION: A valve 101 is provided with a weight 104 in reverse direction from a rod 102 in addition to the rod 102 and a float 103. Rotary moment of said weight 104 around the center 105 of rotation is selected to be smaller than the rotary moment of the float 103 and larger than the rotary moment of only the rod 102 when the float 103 is removed. When the float 103 is not removed, it stays below the water level at all times, and when the float 103 is removed, the valve 101 is closed through the rotary moment of the weight 104.
