Abstract:
To provide a water purifier which does not require an excessive installation area even when a scale tank is set deep.SOLUTION: A water purifier 104 has an electrolyzer 1, a scale tank 3, a filtration tank 5, and a water introduction tank 121. The electrolysis tank 1, the scale tank 3, the filtration tank 5, and the water introduction tank 121 have tubular containers 7, 19, 25, and 123, respectively, which are used in a vertical position. The tubular vessels 123, 7, and 19 are connected in series vertically so that the internal spaces are connected to each other. Water to be purified that flows into the filtration tank 5 from an inlet 31 is filtered by the filter 27, and flows into the electrolyzer 1 through piping 41 and the water introduction tank 121. The inflowing water to be purified has scale causing substances removed by the electrolytic action of electrode 9, and flows out from piping 45 to an outside of the device 104. The scale that accumulates on the electrode 9 peels off from the electrode 9 and accumulates in the scale tank 3 each time the polarity of the electrode 9 is reversed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
