Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove efficiently the chloric smell and the moldy smell of service water by filling it with active carbon fibers and a divinylbenzene polymer or copolymer in the weight ratio of 9/1-1/9.

CONSTITUTION: A purifier consists mainly of a filtering medium filling section 1, a bibcock mounting section 2, filter mediums 3 and filters 4 and 5. Out of the filter mediums 3, 3a and 3c are active carbon fibers, and 3b is a divinylbenzene polymer or a copolymer. Residual hydrogen chloride in the service water can be removed by active carbon fibers 3a and 3c, and 2- methyisoboreneol, diosumine or the like, the cause of moldy smell, can be removed by a divinylbenzene polymer or copolymer 3. To remove chloric and moldy smells simultaneously and efficiently, the filling weight ratio of active carbon fibers 3a and 3c and a divinylbenzene polymer or copolymer 3c should be 9/1-1/9.
