Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase denitrification action, to easily perform preparation, to easily perform exchange and to clarify org. substances (BOD) with titanium oxide.
SOLUTION: A water quality clarification porous concrete member 1 for denitrification consists of a porous concrete comprising aggregate coated with a kneaded substance of calcareous raw material and siliceous raw material and tobermorite or xonotlite exists on the surface of this coated substance and titanium oxide is pref. incorporated into the above-described kneaded substance or titanium oxide exists on the coated surface. The water quality clarification porous concrete member 1 for denitrification is prepd. by coating the surface of the aggregate with the kneaded substance of the calcareous raw material and the siliceous raw material and has interstices 4 therein.
