Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a transparent or opaque article of glass etc., having water repellency and excellent in durability such as resistances to weather water, moisture and wear.
CONSTITUTION: The objective water-repellent article consists of a substrate, a silicon dioxide-contg. coating film formed on the surface of the substrate by plasma CVD and a water-repellent layer of an org. silazane compd. formed on the surface of the coating film.
