Abstract:
To provide a water softener capable of measuring hardness of soft water and performing regeneration of a cation-exchange resin at a proper timing.SOLUTION: A water softener 1 is assembled with a water softening tank 3 for converting raw water to soft water by using a cation-exchange resin, an ion separation part 38 for separating univalent cations from water which has passed through the water softening tank 3, and an ion concentration detection part 28 for detecting ion concentration of treatment water which has been treated with the ion separation part 38 and from which univalent cation has been separated. The ion separation part 38 is assembled with a separation part electrolysis tank 47 for electrolysis of treatment water flowing into the ion separation part 38 and an ion-exchange membrane 41 provided in the separation part electrolysis tank 47 for separating univalent cations and polyvalent cations.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
