Abstract:
To provide a water softening apparatus capable of suppressing a deterioration of a softening tank caused by electrolysis of chloride ion that occurs during the regeneration process.SOLUTION: A water softening apparatus 1 includes a water softening tank 3, a neutralization tank 4, an electrolysis tank 12, and a control unit 32. The water softening tank 3 softens raw water containing a hardness component and chloride ions by means of the weakly acidic cation exchange resin 10. The neutralization tank 4 neutralizes the pH of the softened water that has passed through the softening tank 3 by means of weakly basic anion exchange resin 11. The electrolysis tank 12 produces acidic electrolyzed water to regenerate the softening tank 3 and alkaline electrolyzed water to regenerate the neutralization tank 4. The control unit 32 controls the regeneration process of the water softening tank 3 and neutralization tank 4. The control unit 32 controls the electrolysis products of chloride ions contained in the alkaline electrolytic water that has passed through the neutralization tank 4 so as not to flow into the water softening tank 3 in the initial stage of the regeneration process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
