Abstract:
To provide a water softening apparatus capable of suppressing a decline in water softening performance caused by hardness components released from a water softening tank during a regeneration process of the water softening tank.SOLUTION: A water softening system 1 has a water softening tank 3, a neutralization tank 4, an electrolysis tank 12, a water storage tank 15, and a separation part 14. The water softening tank 3 softens raw water containing hardness components by means of a weakly acidic cation exchange resin 10. The neutralization tank 4 neutralizes pH of the softened water which has passed through the water softening tank by means of a weakly basic anion exchange resin 11. The electrolysis tank 12 produces acidic electrolytic water to regenerate the softening tank 3 and alkaline electrolytic water to regenerate the neutralization tank 4. The water storage tank 15 mixes the acidic electrolytic water which has circulated through the water softening tank 3 and the alkaline electrolytic water which has circulated through the neutralization tank 4 and supplies the same to the electrolysis tank 12. The separation part 14 is provided in a flow path connecting the electrolysis tank 12 and the neutralization tank 4, and separates precipitates caused by hardness components contained in the water introduced into the electrolysis tank 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
