Abstract:
To provide a water softening device capable of more accurately calculating concentration of a hardness component from electric conductivity of softened water.SOLUTION: A water softening device 1 includes a water softening tank 4, a neutralization tank 5, a softened water detection part 6, an acquisition part 17, a calibration part 18, and a calculation part 19. The water softening tank softens raw water containing a hardness component. The neutralization tank neutralizes a pH of the softened water having passed through the water softening tank. The softened water detection part detects electric conductivity of the softened water having passed through the water softening tank and the neutralization tank. The acquisition part acquires electric conductivity corresponding to ions other than the hardness component in the raw water. The calibration part calibrates the electric conductivity obtained by the softened water detection part on the basis of the electric conductivity corresponding to the ions other than the hardness component in the raw water acquired by the acquisition part, and outputs second electric conductivity. The calculation part calculates the hardness of the softened water on the basis of the second electric conductivity output by the calibration part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
