Abstract:
To provide a water softening device capable of removing precipitates while preventing a decline in water softening performance and maintaining the quality of softened water for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A water softening device includes a water softening tank for softening raw water, a neutralization tank for neutralizing pH of the softened water with a weakly basic anion exchange resin, an electrolysis tank for generating acidic electrolyzed water and alkaline electrolyzed water, a water softening tank regeneration channel, a neutralization tank regeneration channel, a capturing part for capturing precipitates caused by hardness components, and a control unit for controlling a water softening step and a regeneration step. After the regeneration step, the control unit performs a regeneration channel washing step to discharge water containing hardness components in the water softening tank regeneration channel outside the device, and an electrolysis tank washing step to remove precipitates caused by hardness components in the electrolysis tank and in the neutralization tank regeneration channel, and after the regeneration channel washing step and the electrolysis tank washing step, the control unit performs a capturing part washing step to remove precipitates captured in the capturing part. After the completion of the capturing part washing step, a water softening step is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
