Abstract:
SOLUTION: A water-soluble surfactant composition contains (A) 20-95 mass% thioether compound exhibited as average composition formula (I): (in the formula (I), R1 is a 1-12C alkyl group or a 1-12C alkyl group substituted with chlorine atom) and (B) 80-5 mass% polyoxy(ethylene-propylene) block polymer which is exhibited as formula (II): HO(C2H4O)w(C3H6O)x(C2H4O)yH (II) (in the formula, w, x and y are each a positive number), which has an average molecular weight of 1,500-10,000 and which contains ethylene oxide by 35-80 mass% and propylene oxide by 20-65 mass%.EFFECT: A water-soluble surfactant composition improves the dispersibility of a fine particle used in an accepting layer when added to a paper coating agent, exhibits wettability to a base material, permeability, defoaming property, printing property and color development property when added to ink and can cope with high-speed printing and high-speed coating.SELECTED DRAWING: None
