Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition of a lifeboat by the fire of a vessel in fire during the lowering of the lifeboat by installing a water spray nozzle onto a cradle for supporting the lifeboat. CONSTITUTION:A water spray nozzle 28 is installed onto a cradle 10 for suspending a lifeboat 18, and a pipe 30 arranged along the cradle 10 is connected to the nozzle 28. A hose 32 having a valve 34 is connected to the pipe 30. When a vessel is caught by fire, the valve 34 is opened to spray water from the water spray nozzle 28, and the lifeboat is lowered to prevent the ignition of the lifeboat.
