Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foulant quantification method that can reduce the frequency of use of reagents such as deleterious substances and can quantify a foulant affecting solid-liquid separation membrane.SOLUTION: In the water treatment method: a foulant quantification membrane separation device 5 is immersed in a foulant-containing solution 13 and the filtration rate of the membrane separation device 5 is set, and the rate of increase of suction pressure when filtered at a fixed rate by the membrane separation device 5 is measured; separately, the foulant concentration in the foulant-containing solution 13 is measured by a method not using the membrane separation device, and from the calibration curve showing the correlationship between the foulant concentration and the increase rate of the suction pressure as well as from the increase rate of the suction pressure measured by using the foulant quantification membrane separation device 5, the concentration of foulant in the foulant-containing solution 13 is previously quantified; and in a step of performing water treatment by a water treatment membrane separation device 2 immersed in the foulant-containing solution 13, when the previously quantified amount of the foulant reaches a predetermined threshold value, a control of operation of the water treatment membrane separation device is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
