To provide a water treatment system and its operation method in which fluctuations in water quality of raw water are suppressed.SOLUTION: A method of operating a water treatment system 1 includes a submersible pump 10 which draws raw water from a water source, a raw water tank 12 which stores the drawn raw water, and a raw water pump 14 which draws out the raw water from the raw water tank 12.
