Abstract:
To provide a water-resistant layer coating device and a water-resistant layer coating method in which transportation or the like of the device is facilitated by making the device small when not utilized, and in which a range wider than the width of the device can be coated during operation.SOLUTION: A water-resistant layer coating device 10 for coating a road surface 50 or a floor surface with a water-resistant material using a spray gun 35, includes: a carriage 20 having wheels and capable of traveling; an articulated robot 40 placed on the carriage, and capable of operating in a range wider than the width of the carriage; a spray gun 35 attached to the fingertip of a manipulator 40 of the articulated robot; a safety fence 30 which is detachably disposed on the carriage, arranged so as to cover the working range of the articulated robot, and also serving as a coating material scattering protective cover; and a control part 34 which controls the speed and range of operation of the manipulator of the articulated robot, in order to coat the water-resistant material at a prescribed thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
