PURPOSE: To enable accurate detection of an exciter voltage to be supplied to a load cell, by connecting an exciter voltage terminal of a body section to a load cell and doing a sense signal terminal of the body section to the connection through a lead.

CONSTITUTION: In a waterproof type load cell in which a load cell 2 alone is housed in a scale case while an electric circuit portion is housed in a waterpoof case 12, exciter voltage terminals V+E and V-E of a connection termi nal 13 at a body section 7 are connected to a terminal 15 of the load cell 2 while the other terminal couple of the load cell 2 is connected to output power receiving terminals + and - of the body section 7. Then, sense signal terminals S+ and S- of the body section 7 are connected to the exciter voltage terminal connection 15 through a lead 16. Thus as the input impedance of a sensing signal circuit at the body section 7 is virtually infinite, the exciter voltage can be detected accurately regardless of a longer lead 16.
