Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveform generator suitable for a scratch processing and a scrabble reproduction.
SOLUTION: A wave sample is read from wave memory 17 based on a reading address generated by an address counter 33, and is specifically processed by an interpolation circuit 34, a sound volume change control circuit 35, a channel accumulator 36, and an effect circuit 37 respectively for being outputted to a digitalanalog converter 19. In a case of scratch reproduction, it is judged whether or not a change in a manipulated variable of an operating knob such as a jog dial is smaller than a fixed value, and if it is smaller than the fixed value, updating the address outputted from the address counter 33 is stopped. Thus, noise can be prevented from being generated when a direction of waveform reproduction is reversed. Further, in the case of scrabble reproduction, a read address is updated according to a difference between the read address and a time cursor position operated by the operating knob.
