Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the shaping from a repetitive pulse train with an optional duty cycle into a pulse train with a duty cycle of 1/2 by providing a clock generator, a counter, a decrement counter, a differentiation device and a flip- flop. CONSTITUTION:A data of a counter 2 is subjected to multiplication by a factor of 1/2 (shifted toward the LSB by one bit) by the output of a differentiation device 4, the result is given to a decrementing counter 3 and the counter 2 and a flip-flop 5 are set. Then the counter 2 starts counting the clock, the decrement counter 3 starts the decrement and resets the flip-flop 6 in the arrival to the clearing state. Thus, with the flip-flop 6 reset, the output of the flip-flop 6 goes to a low level to form a pulse train whose duty cycle is 1/2.
