PURPOSE: To make the weight of the switch light, to simplify the switching operation and to improve the reliability by constituting a T-switch of four-port and three-position type with a waveguide switch having six ports turned for the selection points for 60° each and a waveguide connecting two ports at an interval of one port respectively among the said six ports.
CONSTITUTION: A waveguide type T switch Ts consists of a switch main body Sd, a rotor Ro in the switch main body Sd and a coupling waveguide Wp coupling two ports (at an interval of one port) among the 6 ports. Moreover, one straight line waveguide SWp and tow curved waveguides CWp are imbedded io the rotor Ro to form a four-port three-position switch an three kinds of combination states are realized by turning the rotor Ro by 60° each to the left or right direction. That is, one waveguide type T switch Ts is constituted with a pattern where ports are connected in a cross. Thus, the weight is reduced, the switching operation is simplified and the reliability is improved.
