Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide capable of adjusting an output characteristic (Q value) in a microwave electron tube such as klystron without changing a resonance frequency.SOLUTION: A rectangular waveguide 19 of an output part of a microwave electron tube such as klystron is provided with an output characteristic adjusting part 31 having a recessed part 36 provided on the outer surface of a tube wall 33 of a waveguide main body 30 and a thin part 37 provided on the tube wall 33 by the recessed part 36. It is possible to adjust an output characteristic (Q value) without changing the resonance frequency by deforming the thin part 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
