Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide in which a second conductor layer, in contact with a region transmitting electromagnetic waves, can be inspected reliably by visual examination, and to provide a mode transducer, and a manufacturing method of a waveguide.SOLUTION: In a waveguide 100 including a transparent substrate 110 having a penetration part 111 formed from one principal surface 110a to the other principal surface 110b, a first conductor layer 120 formed on one and the other principal surfaces 110a, 110b, and a second conductor layer 130 formed on the wall surface 111a of the penetration part 111 and interconnecting the first conductor layers 120, the waveguide 100 transmitting electromagnetic waves in a region 101 surrounded by the first and second conductor layers 120, 130, a visible region 150 for making the second conductor layer 130, on the side in contact with the region 101, visible from the lateral face 110c of the transparent substrate 110, is provided on the wall surface 111b of the penetration part 111 not in contact with the region 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
