PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion device and the like that can provide high-powered output while reducing heat load on a phosphor layer.SOLUTION: The wavelength conversion device includes: a light source 11 for emitting light with a predetermined wave length of a wavelength region from ultraviolet light to visible light; the phosphor layer 13 for converting a wavelength of light from the light source 11 entering an incidence plane; and an optical member 12 disposed between the light source 11 and the phosphor layer 13, dividing and isolating the light emitted from the light source 11 and emitting the light to the incidence plane of the phosphor layer 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
