Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title modifier useful for electric wire coating material, etc., having wear resistance, comprising a specific macromonomer, a styrene monomer and another vinyl monomer in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective modifier composed of a graft copolymer comprising, based on total amounts of whole constituent units, (A) 3-50wt.% macromonomer containing a radically polymerizable group at one end of a polymer consisting essentially of a methyl methacrylate monomer unit, having 2,000-20,000 number-average molecular weight, (B) 50-97wt.% styrene monomer and (C) 0-30wt.% other vinyl monomer unit such as ethylene.
