Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply change a weaving width without altering a woven fabric spreader device by constituting a weft thread cutting apparatus and feeders so as to be adjustably movable along a temple stand equipped with the woven fabric spreader device.
SOLUTION: In an air jet loom or a gripper weaving loom, a weft yarn subjected to a weft inserting in a shed 5 is beaten up by rocking of a reed 6 in an arrow 7 direction and the weft yarn is cut by a weft thread cutting apparatus 23 composed of a stationary blade 15 and a movable blade 16 while return rocking in an arrow 8 direction and the change of the sheds 5 are carried out. A weaving action for performing weft inserting to the shed 5 to be formed next by feeders 14 is repeated to weave a woven fabric 9, which is drawn out by a woven fabric spreader device constituted of a temple bar 10 and a temple cover 12 attached to the temple stand 11. Since the cutting apparatus 23 is adjustably displaceable along a temple stand 11, the feeders 14 fixed to the stationary blade 15 are adjustable to both the blades 15 and 16 through an adjusting means 30, when a weaving width is changed, change of the woven fabric spreader device including the temple stand 11 is not required.
