Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for weaving a special loop woven fabric provided with loops around its hollow-woven core sections, and to provide a simply structured needle loom for the method. SOLUTION: This method comprises: forming an opening section P between a warp sheet S and loop warp T in the middle of a hollow weave step carried by a needle loom; drawing only the loop warp T from a cloth fell A by a necessary length by using a swingably reciprocating loop needle 6 inserted into the opening section P; and immediately followed by conducting again a hollow weave by using the drawn loop warp T together with the warp sheet S while holding the drawn loop warp T by a vertically movable guide 7. Thus, it becomes possible to form an extremely longer loop L than ever around the hollow-woven core sections C because the needle loop 6 draws positively the loop warp T in the middle of a hollow weave step.
