Title:
WEB INTERLACING METHOD BY HIGH PRESSURE WATER JET AND JET HEAD FOR INTERLACING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0617358
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exclude attenuation of interlacing action due to water drops except a jet water stream by actively sucking and excluding water drops lying around the place where interlaces are carried out by the jet water stream.

CONSTITUTION: A jet stream J is jetted from a nozzle 3a onto a web W which is put on a net conveyer N and is moving under a jet head 1. The jet stream J directly hits the web W, the net conveyer or a suction box under the conveyer and splashes back to three-dimensionally interlace fibers in the web W. At this moment, misty water drops M arise around a jet mouth 6a an water drops S around the web W where the jet stream J is hitting to attenuate force of the jet stream J, making it difficult to interlace fibers. So, sucking paths 9 are made in a nozzle case 2 and a cover plate 6 in a given pitch at fore and rear part of the nozzle case 2 and at the opposite side of the jet mouth 6a., thus actively excluding water drops M, S and air to the outside by driving a ventilation blower 12.
