Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a module type web material treatment apparatus capable of being altered during operation by constituting each of cartridges for printing a web so as to contain a pair of printing cylinders and to supply a printing medium to both of the printing cylinder of the selected cartridge.
CONSTITUTION: A printing machine has three cartridges 40 and each of cartridges 40 is equipped with a pair of blanket cylinders 43, 44 and a pair of plate cylinders 45, 46 and the outer peripheral surfaces of the plate cylinders 45, 46 are formed by printing plates coming into contact with the corresponding one of the blanket cylinders 43, 44. A web passes so as to go round a roller 47 to pass through the nip between a pair of the blanket cylinders 43, 44 of each of the cartridges. The image to be printed on the web is carried onto the plate cylinders 45, 46 and transferred to the web through the blanket cylinders 43, 44. The ink applying/water feeding trains 48, 49 arranged on both sides of the web are made movable vertically when printing is started so as to be aligned with either one of the cartridges 40.
