PURPOSE: To make it possible to exactly align each punch with die-holes by arranging a stripper having through holes for guiding the punches and preventing movement of a web when the punches are withdrawn from the die-holes between the punches and a die.
CONSTITUTION: In a die-set 10, a die 52 and punches 35 are connected through guide members 31 extending in the direction perpendicular to the surface of a web 11 on which a series of holes are to be punched lengthwise along its length so that they may be freely be brought close to and backed off each other. In the die-set 10, a stripper 40 which is movable in the direction parallel to the guide members 31 is arranged between the die 52 and the punches 35. And, punch-guide through holes 43, 44 in which the punches 35 can pass through and the size of which are closely matched to the punches 35, are provided in the stripper 40. As a result, by exactly inserting the punches into the die-holes 53 while positioning the punches 35 by use of the through holes 43, 44 the alignment of the punches with the die-holes can be made, and a good cutting action of the punches 35 and the die 52 can be maintained for a long time.
