Abstract:
To provide a web rotary printing press capable of eliminating an abnormality such as paper wrinkle without stopping a printing machine at the occurrence of the abnormality such as paper wrinkle or meandering of a web during conveyance.SOLUTION: There is provided a web rotary printing press having a paper wrinkle suppression mechanism for eliminating paper wrinkle, in which the paper wrinkle suppression mechanism: has a paper wrinkle detection sensor which is disposed at a place where paper wrinkle easily occurs in a web during printing; determines whether or not there is any abnormality by comparing information detected by the paper wrinkle detection sensor with information registered in advance; calculates a tension required for the abnormality occurrence place; and sets a position to be moved of a paper presser roller, thereby applying an appropriate tension to the web.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
