Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately take up a web, which is likely to thermally deform, in consideration of a storage condition or the like after taking up.SOLUTION: A web take-up device 1 analyzes by using a model, and takes up a web W by changing take-up tension based on an analysis result. A control device 7 for changing the take-up tension analyzes a temporal change of temperature distribution of an inside of a roll generated by a predicted change of an ambient temperature after taking up, analyzes stress distribution of the inside of the roll in taking up in consideration of the subsequent temporal change of stress distribution of the inside of the roll after taking up, and sets an optimum take-up tension. The model considering thermal viscoelasticity is used in analyzing the stress distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
