PURPOSE: To reduce meandering of a web by furnishing a restriction member to restrict the side edge of the web on the downstream of transport direction in the rotating direction at the pressure contact point of a pressure contact roller with a guide roller.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure contact roller 34 and a guide roller 36 rotating while pinching the web transported are furnished, where the rotary shafts for them shall be so arranged as not to lie in the same plane, and a restriction member 33 to restrict the side edge of the web is installed in the downstream of transport direction in the rotation direction at the pressure contact point of pressure contact roller 34 with the guide roller 36. Accordingly the pressure contact roller 34 applies a force in the direction of said restriction member 33 always during web transportion, so that the restriction member 33 serves as reference surface to contribute to suppression of meandering of the web.
