Abstract:
To provide a wedge binding device used in a scaffold such as a temporary scaffold .SOLUTION: In a wedge binding device in a scaffold, in a state where a flange (13) is made to advance to a receiving part (20) formed between an upper jaw part and a lower jaw part in a jaw metal fitting (15), a wedge member (16) inserted into insertion holes (21)(22) in the upper and lower jaw parts and a binding hole (14) of the flange is driven to move down to a binding position (P2). By press-fitting a wedge part of the wedge member into a space between a direct support edge part (14a) in the binding hole and receiving edge parts (21a) and (22a) in the insertion holes, abutting parts (18a) and (19a) at the tip of the jaw metal fitting is brought into contact with a column. A retreat position (P0) is the position in which the wedge member (16) is retreated to the upper part of the receiving part so as not to prevent the advance of the flange (13) into the receiving part (20). The wedge binding device has spring means (26) with an elastic retaining member (30) for holding the wedge member in the retreat position, and the holding power of the elastic retaining member (30) is constituted to prevent descent by the wedge member's dead weight and to permit up and down movement of the wedge member by external force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
