Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft end-treating device capable of surely catching weft and stably and surely carrying out application of tension and yarn end treatment by a simple constitution.
SOLUTION: This weft end treating device comprises a body arranged on the side opposite to selvage side on anti-yarn feed side according to a cutter for cutting weft end and supported by a frame of a loom and a transferring member for transferring end of weft subjected to picking toward cloth fell side together with transfer of a reed while coming into contact with weft portions on both sides of the body. The body has a fluid passage extending in the direction crossing with oscillating direction of the reed and has a slid opening in the extending direction of the weft end on transferring passage of the weft end and extending to the fluid passage. The body and the transferring member are kept in position relationship in which weft end is introduced into the slit prior to beating of weft in cloth width area.
