Abstract:
To provide a weft feeder capable of improving productivity while improving quality of a woven fabric by suppressing generation of fluff.SOLUTION: There is provided a weft feeder 1 for supplying a weft yarn 3 having a flat shape to a loom 2. The weft feeder comprises a storage mechanism 5 which has an inlet side roller 11 and an outlet side roller 12 for guiding the weft yarn and stores the weft yarn between the inlet side roller and the outlet side roller in a hanging state, a guide 6 which is disposed on the downstream side of the storage mechanism and guides the weft yarn obliquely downward toward the downstream side, and a tensor 8 which is disposed on the downstream side of the guide and imparts the tension to the weft yarn. The storage mechanism comprises a brake 24 which applies the braking force to the outlet side roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
