To prevent the generation of a reelability failure in spite of an inexpensive, simple device when the reelable speed of weft from a yarn feeding body becomes high, and switch yarn feeding automatically and positively without adverse effect such as cutting off the weft.
Pick-tail weft P formed by connecting a weft end part of a yarn feeding body 1 to a weft tip part of a reserve yarn feeding body 2 is held to a tail tensor 6a serving as a holding means, and weft Y from the yarn feeding body 1 is pulled out to a lower reaches device via an upper weft guide 14. In such a device, a ring part 8 serving as a nearly circular ballooning guide means for guiding the weft Y reeled from the yarn feeding body 1 to form ballooning is provided between the yarn feeding body 1 and the weft guide 14, and the weft Y is pulled out onto the upper weft guide 14 side while being guided by the inner edge of the ring part 8. The ring member 8 has a clearance part 8a formed to lead the weft Y outward from the inner edge side and to lead the weft Y again into the inner edge side by the change of a yarn path at the time of changeover from the yarn feeding body 1 to the reserve yarn feeding body 2 through the pick-tail weft P.
