Abstract:

To provide a weft insertion device for a serial shed type weaving machine that can smoothly draw out the weft yarn.

This weft insertion device comprises the unit at a fixed position having a plurality of passages (21) and a plurality of the second nozzles (25) and the unit that rotates together with the weaving rotor (1) having a plurality of the nozzles for drawing out the weft yarns fed to the passages and surely shooting the weft yarns into the shed. This device can ensure the weft insertion even in the cases where the wefts of different kinds are used and the operation modes are different.
